The exciting museum originally started with 34 vases donated to Count Mauro Faina and later inherited by his brother Claudio Faina. Since then, the collection has grown and a trip up to the second floor is an exciting historical journey back in time to the Etruscans, an advanced people who lived in Etruria in northern Italy from 800 BC until around 300 BC.
There is also a collection of ancient coins and vases and jars from Chiusi and elsewhere, as well as three impressive amphorae painted by Exekias, who was known for his beautiful decorations on vases and amphorae.
