Booking a stay

It is possible to book online by logging in to our website and finding the hotel you want to book. You can search for specific hotels, countries and areas. If you need a specific arrival date and a specific number of nights, these can be added.

Changes and cancellations

All changes, such as dates, duration, selected rooms, name etc. or cancellation of bookings are subject to approval from the hotel and Risskov and a fee will be applied. The fee applied depends on the number of days until arrival according to the fee table below.

*For some hotels the fee tiers listed in the table may vary from the standard conditions given here. In such cases the tiers are specified on the invoice and will overrule the tiers listed here.

Difference amount = total old travel cost minus total new travel cost.

The travel cost is defined as the invoice amount minus all fees (admin fee, change fees, postage fee, travel cancellation protection cost).
If a booking is cancelled, the total new travel cost is calculated as EUR 0.

All fees and the travel cancellation protection cost are non-refundable.

When changing a booking all existing fees are transferred to the new booking and an additional change fee is applied.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance may also be a good idea if you wish to have repatriation etc. covered during your holiday. This type of insurance is sometimes covered by household insurance, but can also be ordered from a travel insurance company.

Booking - How do I make a booking? 

A stay with Risskov can be booked either on our website or by calling +443308084607 , where our sales representatives are available Monday-Friday 9-17 and Saturday-Sunday 10-15. There is an admin fee of EUR 12 for online bookings and EUR 18 for telephone bookings.

Payment option

1) Credit card payment.
- Online with Visa- or MasterCard on the website- Click on the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner. 
a) Enter your booking code and surname. b) Select balance payment.c) Enter your credit card details.d) Confirm transaction with your banking app.
2) - Enter in the booking form when making the booking.- After receipt of invoice, online on the website. 
a) Full or partial payment.b) Use of one or more gift cards.

The travel documents are delivered:

1) by email to the email address provided.

2) By post, for a fee of EUR 3,- and added in the ordering process.

The travel documents contain:
1) Invoice - for you as a customer. 
2) Voucher - handed in/shown at the hotel.

Prices

All prices on the website are from prices and based on per person in a double room. Prices may vary depending on the hotel, weekday/weekend and seasons. Prices for single rooms, multi-person rooms and possible upgrades can be found in the booking form.

Environmental and cleaning fees 

Are environmental and cleaning fees included? You must bring the voucher sent with the invoice to the hotel. The voucher has the hotel's name and address in the top left-hand corner. If there is an environmental fee or tax at the hotel, this will be shown in the hotel description on your voucher. The environmental fee or tax must be paid directly at the hotel. Unless otherwise stated, cleaning is included in all stays. For example, if only final cleaning is included, this is stated in the hotel description on the website and on your voucher.

Ecolabels and road tolls

In many major cities in Germany, you must have a green, yellow or red eco-label, depending on how much your car pollutes. This means that you are not allowed to drive in eco-labelled cities without an eco-label at all. If you drive in an eco-labelled city without an eco-label, you will be fined around 40 euros. The eco-labels are called umweltplakette or fininstaubplakette in German and can be purchased from TÜV, DEKRA and workshops in Germany that are authorised to test exhaust emissions. The price in Germany is €15. 

Room types

Many hotels offer different room types. These can be selected in the search filters on the website

1) Single rooms, for guests who wish to sleep alone. 

2) Double/mini-double rooms, for couples or others who would like to share a room. 

3) Rooms with extra beds, for families or others who would like to sleep more people together in the room. 

4) Business, Deluxe, Executive, Suite, Superior, Rooms with balcony and/or view. These are usually more expensive and require an upgrade from standard double rooms.

Child discounts

To receive a child discount, there must min. 2 paying adults in the room.

The discount is indicative. The exact child discount is shown in the booking form. 

Special requests 

1) The hotel room's location/extra facilities (e.g. top floor, next to fellow travellers, with balcony, water view, air-con, bathtub) will be accommodated as much as possible.

2) Hotel room that is disability-friendly - contact the hotel directly to ensure that the facilities are in accordance with individual needs. Risskov can at no time be held responsible if these needs cannot be met. 

3) Allergies

Please state allergies during the booking process. 

a. Food allergies and requests for vegetarian/vegan meals will be communicated to the hotel but are not guaranteed unless confirmed by the hotel. 

b. Pet, down and feather allergies must be communicated to the hotel, but are not guaranteed unless confirmed by the hotel. 

Risskov Bilferie cannot guarantee the fulfilment of such special requests and cannot be held liable for failure to fulfil them. If extra payment is made for these special requests, Risskov guarantees these. Please inform the hotel reception of your requests upon arrival at the hotel.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers can be purchased on the website and paid with VisaDankort or MasterCard. 

1) Enter the gift voucher amount, without a full stop, comma or euro. 

2) Fill in the to and from boxes, with a maximum of 32 characters. If the names take up more space, enter a full stop in the box and add the names yourself after the gift card has been printed. 

3) Fill in the buyer's information with your own information. The gift card and receipt will be sent to the email address provided.

6) Tick the box "We accept Risskov's terms and conditions

7) Click buy gift card

8) Fill in the credit card information

9) Confirm the purchase with your banking app. 

You can also check the balance of an existing gift card on the left-hand side. 

Group bookings

Group bookings are possible at many hotels, however, no additional discount is given on the prices already shown. In some cases, the hotel will ask for a higher price for a group booking and require cancellation and/or changes on their terms. Confirmation of group bookings may take longer than the normal 24 hours. 

Transport options

Risskov only sells hotel accommodation and has nothing to do with the transport to and from the hotel. We advise you to wait to buy a flight/ferry/bus/train ticket until you have received the travel documents and paid for the booking. Risskov will not be held liable or cover unused transport costs due to cancellations, changes or errors on the part of the hotel. 

Booking at a hotel outside the agreement period

It is not possible to book a hotel on the website outside the months shown. If you wish to be automatically notified when the hotel is back online for the desired period.

Customer account

It is possible to create a customer account at Risskov. 1) Creating an account. a) Click on the little red man in the top right corner of the website. b) Or select "Create an account" in the booking form. the booking form. c) Choose a password to log in to your account. d) Follow the reCAPTCHA to prove that you are not a robot. e) Confirm your email address via the email sent to your email address. 
Once your account has been created, you will then be able to log in via the website and manage your bookings yourself, where you can create, change or cancel bookings according to our travel regulations.

Offers

Risskov Bilferies Direct Offers:1) Newsletter - can be signed up for on the website, either in the booking form or at the bottom of the front page. This is sent to your email address on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Updates to the profile and unsubscribing from the newsletter can be done via the links at the bottom of the newsletter. 
2) Notifications - when you log on to our website, you will be asked if you want to receive notifications from Risskov Bilferie.

Cancellation of offers:1. if you no longer wish to receive our offers, you can unsubscribe from them. 
a) Newsletter - can be unsubscribed in the link at the bottom of the newsletter. 
b) Notifications - you have to unsubscribe yourself in your internet browser, as these are local to your computer. 

Catalogue

At Risskov we do not have a printed catalogue, as we are constantly adding new hotels and we want to keep them updated with the best prices. By not printing a catalogue, we keep the price of your trip down, and our more than 400 hotels can be found on our website. If you are interested in a specific hotel or area, you can press ctrl + p to print the catalogue.

Due to privacy policy, we cannot cancel, change or talk about the booking to anyone other than the customer who made the booking. 

The Travel Guarantee Fund

As Risskov sells hotel packages and not package holidays, our holidays are not covered by any package holiday protection funds. However, Risskov remains financially sound with a AAA rating for extremely solid finances and creditworthiness.

Reviews

After your stay, an email will be sent to you from Feefo, giving you the opportunity to review your stay at the hotel and Risskov Bilferie. The review will be posted on the website and can be read under customer reviews under the different hotels. This is valuable information for future guests at the hotel. If you need to contact our customer service, you can contact us by phone, email or through your customer account.
