Kupfermühle is a small historic town with about 1600 inhabitants. In the 1600s Christian IV founded a copper mill here, which grew into one of the largest businesses in the area. It produced copper plates for large buildings and copper utensils. The copper mill was in use until 1962 and today you can visit the Museum Kupfermühle, which bears witness to the industry. Please note that the museum has limited opening hours. Get more freedom to explore on a self-drive holiday. There are also plenty of great opportunities for an active holiday in the Kupfermühle area.
