Krossobanen

Visit Norway on a cheap self-drive holiday. If you're travelling to the Oslo area, the Krossobanen is located west of Oslo and is known as Northern Europe's first cable car. The lowest cable station has a large car park, and from here the brave are transported up to almost 900 metres above sea level. There are stunning views of Rjukan, Gaustatoppen, Vermork and the area where the famous sabotage of the heavy water plant took place. At the top, hot coffee is served at the Gvepseborg Café.
