Skinnarbu Nasjonalparkhotell

Skinnarbu Nasjonalparkhotell is located near Rjukan, just 2.5 hours' drive from Oslo, and here you can spend an active holiday in the Norwegian mountains. The impressive scenery invites you to many outdoor activities and the area around the hotel is especially suitable for hunting and fishing. Take the mountain railway to the top of Gaustatoppen mountain and enjoy the stunning views or go for a bike ride and enjoy the silence and get an insight into the rich wildlife in the forest.

About the hotel

Skinnarbu Nasjonalparkhotell is located at about 1000 m.a.s.l. surrounded by stunning nature, with marked trails and hiking routes that are popular both summer and winter. The hotel was renovated in 2018 and has a modern look mixed with traditional décor.

The hotel has a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and the staff will do their utmost to make you feel at home. Here you can relax and forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In front of the fireplace you can read a good book, play a game of yatzy or simply enjoy the quiet surroundings in good company. In the kitchen, food is prepared from local ingredients and the restaurant is open from 19.00-20.30. There is free wireless internet access in the hotel and good parking facilities.

Rooms

You will be accommodated in the hotel's standard room, which has been upgraded with modern furniture. All our rooms have two single beds, a seating area and a bathroom with a shower. From the rooms there is a view of the forest and the surrounding mountains. It is permitted to bring a dog, but the hotel must be informed beforehand. The dog can be with you in the lobby if desired, but not in the other areas of the hotel. Our standard rooms are primarily located on the ground floor.
