Utrecht

Utrecht is an old university city, characterised by its canals, historic houses, squares and parks. In the city you can see the fortifications of the New Dutch Waterline, the historic facades of the shipyards, the carved panels and lots of impressive trees along the canals, some of which are over 200 years old.

As you explore the city, you'll hear the cathedral tower chiming.

A good way to experience the city is by sailing on the canals. You can choose to go on a canal cruise by boat or go around under your own steam by pedal boat, rowing boat or canoe.
