Uelzen
Visit the charming town of Uelzen, best known for its "Hundertwasser-Bahnhof". The fascinating and colourful railway station is one of the most beautiful in the world and it is possible to have an exciting guided tour for a small fee.
See also the city's Gothic church of St. Mary, which boasts a steeple as tall as 86 metres and an apostle's chapel dating back to 1350. Also visit the beautiful Schloss Holdenstedt, set in lovely green surroundings.
