Turning Torso, which is English for "turning or swinging body", is Sweden's and the Nordic countries' tallest skyscraper. The Turning Torso is located on Lilla Varvsgatan in Västra Hamnen, Malmö and was inaugurated in August 2005. The building was designed by architect Santiago Calatrava and is 190.4 m high. The building is a residential structure and due to its height has become a well-known landmark in the region and can be seen from far away.
