Take a trip to Denmark's third oldest open-air museum in Maribo. The museum consists of 13 reconstructed houses, dating from the end of the 17th century up to the beginning of the 20th century. Surrounded by woods in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is a pleasure to walk among the old houses, such as the forge and the spray house. You can also see an old steam engine from Nysted Sawmill and a fascinating locomotive from 1872, which was used for ploughing. All around, a number of beautiful gardens have been laid out, such as a rose garden and a medicinal herb garden.
