The church of Oschatz St. Aegidien has a long and exciting history. Burnt down during the great fire of 1842, the impressive structure with the two 75-metre high towers we see today was built in the years 1846-1849. Visit the fascinating interior of the church or climb the 199 steps to the tower keeper's residence, where the family of 14 children lived and enjoy the stunning view from the viewing platform. Another special highlight is the cobbler's workshop.
