Sønderborg is a small market town in Southern Jutland with a population of around 28,000. Here you'll find a mix of culture, shopping and a great café scene, along with a beautiful harbour front and great nightlife. The city's main attraction is Sønderborg Castle, which was founded back in 1170. Today, the castle has its own museum and is also the backdrop for the annual Ringridningsfestival, which is held on the castle grounds during the summer months. The town has a pleasant pedestrian street with many different shops and cafés where you can have a good lunch.
