This is Carl Gustaf Wrangel's castle by the waters of Lake Mälaren. Here you can experience the Swedish Empire - in one of Europe's most atmospheric and stunning settings. The exhibitions give you an insight into the ordinary things of the time, the luxury and everyday life of the ruler's residence.

Skokloster Castle is the largest privately owned palace ever built in Sweden. Among Europe's castles, it is unique.

The castle is open to the public between May and September.
