Sandane is a small town located in Gloppen municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county in Norway. Sandane is located in the Gloppen Fjord and the centre of the town also houses simple historical buildings. You can visit the Heradshuset with a bell tower. You can shop around in the Sandane Centre which is also the largest in town.
Sandane is in the middle of the beautiful Norwegian nature and there are many places where you can take the perfect photos with the mountains and the river in the background. To the north, the terrain rises steeply towards Fjellbygda. South of Gloppeelva is the Bukta area and to the east, about 30 metres above sea level, is the Eide plateau, which with its fertile soil was home to many farms in the Middle Ages.
From Sandane it is also not far to the Nordfjord Folkemuseum, which is an experience for the whole family, with traditional houses from the 18th and 19th centuries.
