Roubaix

One of the spring classics, as you know, is Paris - Roubaix, also known as the toughest one-day stage in cycling, and the famous 'cobbles' are certainly part of the excitement, as the slightest mistake can cause serious changes in the classification.

But Roubaix is also much more than just a bike race. Also known as the town of a thousand chimneys, but that was many years ago now, and if visitors get to know Roubaix a little better, it's actually an underrated and very charming town. Visit the exciting La Piscine Museum or La Manufacture. Enjoy a drink in one of the numerous bars or cafés and try French gastronomy with good wines and local produce.
