Welcome to Ringkøbing with its cobbled streets, harbour and exciting speciality shops. Ringkøbing is one of Denmark's oldest trading towns and the most well preserved. The town lies in a beautiful landscape by Ringkøbing Fjord. The old centre with the square and the church is very nice to visit, as it is so well preserved. The town also has many restaurants where you can enjoy a nice dinner. Much is being done to preserve large parts of old Ringkøbing. The result can be clearly seen when you walk around the centre. Ringkøbing's square is adorned by the old town hall, which is now a tourist information centre.
Ringkøbing is charming and the cobbled streets connect the centre with the harbour area. Fishermen still leave their mark on the town, although today the harbour is mainly used by fjord fishermen and sailors. The once bustling harbour area has now been transformed into an oasis where you can gaze out over the fjord, while also strolling along the quayside or enjoying the water's edge.
