Paklenica National Park is a national park in Croatia. It is located in Starigrad, in northern Dalmatia, on the southern slopes of Velebit Mountain, not far from Zadar, Croatia. The park has two valleys, Mala (small) and Velika (large). Today there is no water flowing through the Mala valley. Near the entrance to Velika Paklenica there is an artificial cave that was built for Josip Broz Tito during the tension between Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
