Just south of Ringkøbing Fjord lies the small village of Nørre Nebel. It may not sound like much, but the town's petrol station holds a bit of a secret.
As well as being surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches in Denmark, Nørre Nebel has a little-known attraction that requires a bit of effort, some good exercise and maybe some speed glasses, but only if there's a tailwind. Nørre Nebel is home to a railway track that runs for just under eight kilometres and leads up to Nyindegab. Rent a rail bike at the local service station and try your luck while discovering the surrounding countryside in a completely different way. The ride is recommended when it's not too cold, but a nice family ride on rails is surely not to be missed.
