Montagnaga is a small, unspoilt northern Italian mountain village at 882 metres above sea level. From there it is just under 200 km to the Adriatic Sea, and the area has many large and small lakes. Montagnaga has a population of less than 1000, but the old, charming mountain village boasts an interesting history with many traditions. It's a lovely place to ride with beautiful mountain scenery. Local eateries offer local delicacies with wine from the region. Also, don't be surprised if you see more German-Austrian inspired dishes like sauerkraut on the menu. Many restaurants cultivate their South Tyrolean identity.
