At Holbæk Museum you can experience a wide range of exhibitions that highlight Holbæk's cultural heritage in different ways. The museum houses 250,000 objects and Denmark's largest collection of Knabstrup ceramics. The museum consists of 13 historic buildings and a pilot boat. Some of the buildings date back to the 1600s. In one of the museum's buildings, at Bakkekammen 45, is the interior museum of Better Building Practices, which in the 20th century worked for a better building culture in Denmark.
Right next to the museum is St Nicolai Church, a classic red monastic church and Holbæk's largest. Another church worth a visit is Tveje Merløse Church, located in Tveje Merløse three kilometres south of Holbæk and easy to visit when on holiday by car. The church is a stone church with twin towers and one of the oldest on Zealand, built in the 12th century. There's almost a queue of experiences when you're on summer holiday in Holbæk!
