Hjo

Find a cheap summer or winter holiday at Risskov and explore Sweden at your own pace and with the whole family. Visit the beautiful town of Hjo, an idyllic little town situated on the shores of Lake Vättern. There are several well-preserved, picturesque wooden houses, beautiful wooden bridges and footbridges next to the lake and Hjo has also won several international awards for the preservation of the town's original wooden buildings. So why not enjoy a cup of coffee in a cosy turn-of-the-century setting. If the weather is good, you are allowed to bring a picnic basket and be part of the peaceful surroundings in the town park or by the beautiful lake Vättern. In Hjo it is also possible to fish and go hiking, cycling or how about a 'trout safari'. There are several hiking and pilgrimage routes, long cycling routes and also mountain bike trails.
