Venabygdsfjellet is easily accessible from Fylkesvej 27 and is located between Gudbrandsdalen and Østerdalen in Oppland county.
It is an attractive place for walkers, who can follow the footpaths through the wide meadows, which in the old days were widely used as grazing land for farmers' animals in summer. The beautiful terrain attracts many tourists to Venabygdsfjellet both in summer and winter.
There is also a herd of wild reindeer in the area, giving you the chance to see these magnificent animals up close. If you've brought your fishing rod, there are plenty of good fishing spots in the area, and otherwise there are plenty of mulberries to be picked.
