Don't miss out on a trip to Gothenburg's archipelago if you're heading to the Swedish west coast. The beautiful scenery, picturesque alleys, lovely beaches, fantastic nature reserves and pleasant walks are just some of the many possibilities that Gothenburg Archipelago offers. The archipelago consists of around twenty islands and there are plenty of experiences waiting to be discovered. Take the car ferry from Hjulvik to some of the northern islands such as Björkö, Hönö and Öckerö. From Saltholmen it is possible to get across to Styrsö, Brännö, Donsö and Vrångö, which are part of the archipelago's more southern islands. Both ferries and buses are public transport, which makes it easy to cross over to the islands and enjoy the beautiful nature on the islands.
