Duomo di Siena

Another must-see in Siena is the striking cathedral, built in 1215 in pure harmony with the rest of the city's characteristic Gothic and Romanesque style. The exterior of the building is covered in black and white marble and the interior is overwhelmed by the many colourful marble works of art and the very special marble mosaic floor.
