Castel del Piano

Visit the small, cosy town of Castel del Piano, a Tuscan village. The town is beautifully situated on a hilltop overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The old town, with its town gates and walls, is completely intact. Here you will also find medieval laundry houses, narrow streets/alleys, picturesque doorways and windows and an incredible atmosphere at night.

The special yellow lighting helps to enhance the cosy evening atmosphere throughout the town, especially in the main square with the 2 fountains in front of the town hall. In the evening, young and old gather in the town squares and small squares. People chat, play chess, watch football, drink wine and watch the day's events unfold in the bars and cafés. You can enjoy a cup of espresso or sambucca on a warm summer evening and experience all this fantastic atmosphere. A little tip if you are going out to eat is to watch the locals and see where they go to eat. It's often both cheaper and better here.
