Bolzano

Visit the beautiful and cultural capital of South Tyrol - known as the capital of the Dolomites. Bolzano has a curious history, as until 1. Until World War I it actually belonged to Austria, and therefore still today has a large German speaking population. Today, about a quarter of the town's inhabitants are "Boziers", i.e. German-speaking citizens of Bolzano.

The city has a lot to offer, whether you're looking for traditional shopping and sightseeing, culture, gastronomy or history. The city's location amidst beautiful green countryside also offers great opportunities to take a break from the city and explore nature. The town centre is packed with art galleries, museums, cosy cafés and shops, and if you're on holiday in the Dolomites, this gem is not to be missed!
