If you're on a driving holiday in sunny Karlskoga, a visit to Björkborn Manor, or Alfred Nobel's Björkborn, is a must. The farm is now a museum, but it was here that Alfred Nobels spent his summer holidays and lived in the last years of his life. Here you will find Alfred Nobel's book collection, medals and his death mask in plaster, among many other things.
The museum provides an insight into the life of Alfred Nobel through a series of permanent exhibitions and historical experiences. Learn more about Alfred Nobel's life and the role the manor played in the history of the Nobel Prize through a guided tour offered during the high season. In addition to the museum, there is also a museum shop and a charming café. If you have children, a visit to the Fiffiga House is highly recommended. It is a small science centre where you can follow in the footsteps of the exciting inventor.
