The beautiful Italian city of Vicenza is often a little overlooked as Venice, understandably, overshadows most of its neighbouring cities. But Vicenza is Italy's third-largest city and is characterised by beautiful streets and impressive Renaissance buildings.
If you're just on a quick visit, you can see the city's three main attractions within a couple of hours. The main attractions are all UNESCO-listed and include the beautiful Roman Catholic Church, Monte Berico, the Renaissance Basilica Palladiana and not least the impressive Palazzo Chiericati, also built during the Renaissance.
If you have a little more time in the city, there's plenty else to see and the city's tourist office can assist with more exciting sights and opportunities.
