A visit to the Asparagus Museum in Beelitz is certainly a different experience if you don't like this noble vegetable. However, a visit can still be rewarding. Visit the small museum, which will make you smile, only half an hour's drive from Berlin.

The museum is located in Beelitz, which is particularly known for its large hospital complex, whose history dates back to the last century. It was a German military hospital during the 2nd World War. After the war it was used by Soviet troops until the reunification of Germany in 1995. Hitler was treated at the hospital during World War I and Erich Honecker was also hospitalised with liver cancer at the already then very well-known and reputable hospital.
