Teutonic Castle Ostroda

Once the stronghold of the Teutonic knights, this renovated 13th-century castle may have an austere image, but the castle, after its recent renovation work, has become a cultural centre for the town. Come to the castle during the summer months and you'll be able to enjoy these cultural events alongside the castles on exhibitions. 

There are three exhibition halls to explore, where you'll learn about the history of Ostróda and the various guises that have shaped and re-shaped the castle image. Walk through the halls, you'll be following in the footsteps of famous dignitaries such as Napoleon Bonaparte, who once stayed here. This former Teutonic stronghold is now a place for discovery.
