Strechau Castle
Visit Burg Strechau in Styria for your summer holiday in Austria. Burg Strechau is a castle from the 11th century, built in a mixture of Gothic and Romanesque styles. It was rebuilt as a Renaissance castle in the mid-1600s. The Italianate courtyard and the Mannerist ceiling painting from 1579 bear witness to this. Take a tour of the castle and see the history and architecture for yourself. Today the castle also houses an extensive vintage car museum where you will find a unique collection of Steyr-Daimler-Puch vehicles. Take a self-drive holiday to Austria and discover the many sights of Styria, where Burg Strechau is certainly worth a visit.
