Śnieżne Kotły
Śnieżne Kotły, or Snowy Pits, are striking glacial cirques located on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic, within the Krkonoše National Park. This protected area is renowned for its diverse flora and fauna. The site includes two cirques, Wielki (Great) and Mały (Small) Śnieżny Kocioł, characterized by steep walls reaching up to 120 meters, showcasing the dramatic effects of ancient glacial activity. At the base of these impressive formations lie the Śnieżne Stawki, two pristine glacial lakes with crystal-clear waters. These tranquil spots offer visitors a chance to enjoy the serene natural beauty of the region. Atop the cirques stands a distinctive building, originally a mountain hut, which now functions as a television relay station.
