Royaumont Abbey

In the middle of the Chantilly forest you will find the beautiful and interesting Cistercian monastery of Asnières-sur-Oise, the Royaumont monastery, the largest in the Paris region. The monastery was founded in a protected area of natural beauty by the later King Saint-Louis. The monastery to this day rises imposingly above the forest and marsh and the medieval garden is a living museum not to be missed.
