Moesgaard Museum

Experience the past in changing tempos at Moesgaard Museum, also known as MOMU. An attraction of the highest calibre, both for the exhibitions, the settings and the picturesque location overlooking the sea and the forest. Get up close to ancient times and see the giant Bronze Age burial mounds and Iron Age weaponry. Then comes the Viking Age, where visitors can follow a Viking in the Aarhus of the time. Also visit the Evolution Staircase, which sends curious visitors on a trip back in time and the opportunity to meet their predecessors, led by Lucy, at around 3.2 million years old, as the oldest. There are also regular special exhibitions, which always have a good story to tell, and all in all MOMU is a unique experience where it is hard not to be amazed by the magic of evolution. There's something for all the family to enjoy, and you can finish off your visit with a lovely walk down to the water's edge and enjoy the view over Aarhus Bay.
