Ice Pavilion
Above Saas-Fee in Switzerland, at an altitude of about 3,500 meters, is the entrance to the Ice Pavilion, which hides a unique world of ice inside the Fee Glacier. The ice cave can be accessed through an approximately 70-meter-long tunnel that leads directly into the glacier. Inside the vast exhibition space of around 5,500 m², special lighting and shapes create a spectacular ice world, which is often complemented by temporary exhibitions and events. The experience is more artistic and technical in nature, similar to the ice cave at the Mer de Glace in France. The facility was completely renovated in 2016, when a spectacular avalanche simulation was also installed, enhancing the experience with light and sound effects.
