Hiking in Herøy

The Herøy region has several mountain peaks that can be climbed. For example, you can take a trip to Nerlandsøya and hike up Muletua, which is 253 metres above sea level. It is one of the most beautiful mountain peaks in the area. The walk is about two kilometres long.

You can also go to Gurskøy, where the mountain Sollia, the highest mountain in Herøy, is located. This tour is a little more demanding, with a distance of 10.8 kilometres and a mountain peak that is a whopping 660 metres above sea level. The most famous hike in Herøy is probably the one to Rundebranden, where a large colony of puffins is based. The walk is about two kilometres long.
