Fanoe

Take a trip to beautiful Fanoe, part of the Wadden Sea archipelago, which also includes Rømø and Mandø. Fanoe is about 56 square kilometres in size and offers unparalleled scenery surrounded by beautiful beaches. If you're lucky, you might even find some amber, which occasionally washes in with the sea currents.

Also, take the trip to Nordby and visit the exciting exhibition about Fanø's maritime history at Fanø Skibsfarts- og Dragtsamling.

In the main street there are several art galleries and it is clear that the craft industry is very pronounced on the island. There is also a nice selection of cafés and restaurants, so why not enjoy a quiet lunch with the family, surrounded by water, and in the middle of beautiful nature? From Esbjerg, it takes just 12 minutes by Fanø ferry to cross over to Fanø.
