Bredstedt

Try some tourism in Bredstedt, a small town on the west coast of North Frisia, where you can still feel the old Danish history. Find a cheap mini break at Risskov and discover the 700 year old town and its long history. Many people in the town speak Danish and you can find both a Danish school and a Danish kindergarten as well as Clementshus, the Danish homes for the elderly in the town. Everywhere you will find traces of times when the city belonged to Denmark.

Take a walk past the town's church, St. Nicholas Church, which dates back to 1462 and is built in late Gothic style with monks' stones and boulders. The church features a three-aisled altarpiece from 1580 and a late Gothic choir-arch crucifix from the 15th century. In the cemetery you can also find several gravestones dating back to the 1500s - 1700s.

If you have children or grandchildren on holiday, spend a day at the town's open-air swimming pool, which offers 900 square metres of fun in the water. Here you'll find everything from a waterslide to a diving pool and countless other water facilities for children of all ages to play in. There are also lovely green areas where you can relax. Find a family holiday to Bredstedt in Northern Germany at Risskov and bring the kids along, as there are also many child-friendly hotels in the area, setting the scene for a superb family holiday.
