Book a cheap mini break and get plenty of culture in the bargain with a visit to the ARKEN Art Museum, located at Køge Bugt Strandpark, south of Copenhagen. ARKEN has one of Scandinavia's finest collections of contemporary art, but the architecture of the museum itself has also won international acclaim since it opened in 1996. The collection contains over 400 works by Nordic and international contemporary artists, covering the period 1990 up to the present day. ARKEN also houses one of Europe's most sought-after collections of Damian Hirst, alongside works by Asger Jorn and the abstract Anselm Reyle, as well as Chinese artist Ai Weiwei.
