Årjäng
Årjäng is a beautiful town in the province of Värmland with scenic surroundings, located about 3 km from the border with Norway and about 10 km west of Karlstad. The village has a rich and interesting history with archaeological finds from around 3,000 BC in pottery, flint and bones. Årjäng's landmark is the 8-metre-tall statue "Årjängstrollet", which was created with inspiration from the fairy tales of author Thore Skogman. Årjäng is also known for its trotting race with the annual Årjängstravet.
