Norwegian Oil Museum

Most people are probably aware that in recent Norwegian history, welfare and oil go hand in hand, and in Stavanger you already have your feet planted on Norwegian oil. In 1969, the North Sea's first oil field was discovered, and the Slik field that followed helped make the Stavanger region a key player in the overall Norwegian economy.
