On the North Sea coast of northern Germany lies the Wadden Sea National Park in Lower Saxony. The area includes the Wadden Sea between the rivers Ems and Elbe and the Fresh Islands off the coast. The National Park invites you to explore the stunning and unique Wadden Sea landscape of the North Sea. At Risskov we have a large selection of cheap hotel stays to suit all tastes.
Here you can really watch nature blossom and unfold with all the unique landscapes. You can see the typical salt marshes, the Geestkliff cliff near Dangast and "das schwimmende Moor" (the floating marsh) near Sehestedt, the only marsh in Germany that lies outside the dykes. The seal station in Norddeich is also worth a visit.
The numerous experiences in nature and the animal world are far from all you can experience on the North Sea coast. Many sights bear witness to the area's history and culture. Visit, for example, the Wattenmeerhaus in Wilhelmshaven, the lighthouse and Walknochenzaun on the island of Borkum, the Fischerhausmuseum Norderney, Wasserschloss Dornumsiel, the Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum Bremerhaven or the old lighthouse on Wangerooge.
