Hotel Dorn

This hotel is beautifully located in the heart of the cosy harbour town of Büsum, just north of the scenic Wadden Sea National Park of Schleswig-Holstein. It is the perfect base for a short break in Northern Germany with sauna and massage, a fantastic harbour atmosphere, lovely nature and a short distance to a wide range of exciting towns and sights. For example, visit the coastal village of St Peter Ording, take a boat trip to Heligoland or see the charming Dutch houses in the canal town of Friedrichstadt.

About the hotel

Hotel Dorn is centrally located in the cosy Schleswig-Holstein port town of Büsum. The town lies directly on the North Sea on the north-west German coast, just north of the stunning Schleswig-Holsteinisches Wattenmeer National Park area. The hotel is located right on a pedestrian zone with a few hundred metres to both the town centre and the harbour, where you will find the historic Museumshafen, among other things.

The hotel building dates back to 1896 and was built as a private house. In 1956 the building was acquired by the Dorn family and converted into a hotel. Today, the cosy hotel is family-run with a strong focus on personal service.

During your stay, you can enjoy life and relax in the sauna in the soothing surroundings of the hotel's wellness area. Outside, you can relax in the hotel's cosy garden with comfortable beach huts, familiar from some of northern Germany's many seaside resorts.

In the morning, you can start the day with a rich and balanced buffet breakfast. You'll find a wide selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, crispy rolls, juice and cheese, as well as sausages, fish and eggs. Breakfast is served between 07.30 and 10.00.

In the afternoon, coffee and tea are offered in the cosy surroundings of the hotel and usually there will also be cake or cookies to enjoy. The hotel does not offer dinner, but you will find a wide selection of restaurants and cafés within walking distance of the hotel.

Parking is free at the hotel and you have free access to wireless internet during your stay.

Rooms

The hotel's 22 bright and cosy double rooms are approximately 18 m² in size and the beds are 160 x 200 wide.  Single rooms are 14 m². and the beds 90 x 200 wide. The rooms offer a comfortable base for your stay in Büsum. All rooms are furnished with private bath and toilet and equipped with TV, telephone, hairdryer, safe and a minibar without content. It is not possible to bring children.
