Water parks in Austria

Therme Amadé Spa is a 30,000 square metre water park with spa and wellness, surrounded by Altenmarkt's alpine landscape. There is an extensive range of sauna and aquatic experiences. Most of the pools are indoors, and then there are two outdoor pools that are connected. The pleasant water temperature makes the Herme Amadé Spa an ideal place to relax all year round.

The water is infused with medicinal salts from the famous salt mine at Bad Ischl. Most of the pools contain 1.5 - 2.5% salt water, which is known to have a positive effect on the skin.

During the warm Austrian summer months from May to September, the Westendorf outdoor pool is open. With three pools, both the experienced and less experienced can romp in the wet element and get their pulse racing on the high ropes and 42-metre waterslide. Westendorf also has a small dining area, sunbathing areas along the water's edge and a playground for the little ones. The swimming pool is usually open between 9am and 7pm and is closed if the weather is not suitable for swimming.

The Murau outdoor pool is a popular summer spot for families, couples, and travelers looking to cool off in the heart of Styria. Surrounded by the scenic backdrop of the Austrian Alps, the pool features heated water, a large swimming area, a separate children's pool, and fun waterslides. When you're on summer holiday in Austria and the sun is shining over the mountain peaks, take a trip to the Wildschönau open-air baths for a refreshing dip under the open sky. As well as outdoor pools, you'll also find sun loungers and a playground on site. There are more than 1000 m2 of water surface divided into several swimming pools and there is both a seesaw and a slide. For the little ones, there is a children's pool with a pink elephant and a playground with a sandpit, trampoline, climbing tower and suspension bridge. Enjoy a light lunch or refreshment in the small on-site café, which sells salads, snacks, ice cream and drinks.
