Zoos and Aquariums in Austria

Visit Tiergarten Schönbrunn, Vienna's zoo and the world's oldest animal park. The fascinating zoo was founded way back in 1752 and is one of the few zoos in the world to have giant pandas. The historic zoo is also home to a host of other fascinating animals from every continent.

At the Aurach Wildlife Park, which is a whopping 1100 metres above sea level, you can get up close and personal with tame and curious animals such as roe deer, goats, donkeys and sheep. The park also has more exotic animals such as monkeys, kangaroos, llamas and Tibetan yaks, which you can observe from a safe distance. The many tame animals and the many square metres of nature and play areas make the park a popular destination for families with children.
