Oslo is a very bike-friendly city, and it certainly pays to rent a bike and experience the city up close. You might want to start by visiting the 700-year-old fortress, Akershus, which sits on a hill with incredible views. Then take the trip to Oslo's Opera House, which also faces the fjord, just on the other side. Discover Vigelandsparken and Karl Johans Gate, where you'll find a myriad of restaurants and cafés.
Oslo is also a city full of music, and there is a lot of live music playing around the various clubs and pubs.
