Experience Swedish history in Björkholmen, Karlskrona on a family self-drive holiday. Here the streets are not wide and the houses not beautifully decorated, for this was the old working-class quarter. Walking around the streets of Björkholmen, you can see some of the old cottages from the 1700s and 1800s. The cottages are well preserved and situated directly on the rocky ground, but they are in sharp contrast to the beautiful buildings in Karlskrona's centre.
