Ilsetra Hotel is located at the top of Hafjell in the fresh Norwegian mountain air. Built from timber, slate and soapstone, the hotel is cozy and informal, and the rooms are designed as spacious apartments. Here you are close to nature, cross-country trails, ski slopes and exciting experiences whether it's summer or winter.
Fjeldhotellet Ilsetra is located almost 1000 meters above sea level and consists of four buildings. In the main building there is a cosy restaurant, bar and a warm fireplace room where you can warm up, for example after a good day on skis. The hotel has a wellness area with sauna and an outdoor heated pool, which is open when it is 12 degrees below zero. There is also a fitness area where you can get your body moving if you want to add a little extra exercise to the many hiking and cross-country skiing routes.
The restaurant serves a delicious selection of dishes made from local ingredients. There are two sections in the restaurant, Rødstua and Finstua, and both are used for breakfast and dinner.
Outside the hotel there are experiences for all tastes: in winter, the nearest ski resort is Hafjell Alpinanlegg, and in summer it is obvious to explore the area on hikes or by bike, in the large network of trails. Lillehammer's open-air museum Maihaugen and Hunderfossen Adventure Park are also highly recommended.
The hotel's 48 rooms are arranged as cosy, spacious apartments with two bedrooms, one room with a double bed and one room with a bunk bed. The apartment also has a living room with a sofa, television and a small kitchenette. All apartments have a private bathroom with shower, and some apartments have mountain views.
