The 4-star hotel has a unique history as Norway's national gift to Sweden. It was meant as thanks for the Swedish state's humanitarian aid during World War II. The hotel is therefore owned by the Swedish state and is run as a center for Swedish-Norwegian cooperation with hotels, conferences and restaurants.
With its location 501 meters above sea level, Voksenåsen Hotell offers a beautiful view of Oslo and the surrounding area. At the same time, you are close to the capital's many activities. After a short metro ride, you can explore the city's many offers for your culture, shopping and café life.
The hotel is open both summer and winter and offers different facilities depending on the season. From May to September, children and adults can enjoy a swim in the outdoor pool. Moreover, the hotel has a sauna and a well-equipped fitness room. The area has many beautiful hiking trails and cool bathing lakes. Also, don't miss Høyt & Lowt climbing park with fun activities for everyone regardless of age and physical condition. In winter, you can ski practically outside the hotel doors. Nordmarka has no less than 2000 km of cross-country skiing routes. The Skimore Oslo ski resort is also worth a visit with 18 pistes i.e., barely 3 km from the hotel.
The hotel's 85 bright, allergy-friendly rooms can be booked in different sizes. All rooms have a view of the fjord and Nordmarka's nature. The rooms have ensuite bathroom with toilet, shower or bathtub, and is also equipped with a TV, telephone and hairdryer.
