Det Lille Hotel

Situated along the southern coast of Norway in the picturesque town of Risør, Det Lille Hotel, which translates to "The Little Hotel," warmly welcomes guests to its historic and charming ambiance. Founded by a local couple, the hotel began with the renovation of a single house, evolving into Norway's smallest hotel. It has since expanded, today the hotel consists of several wooden houses scattered in the town. 

About the hotel

Det Lille Hotel’s design and decor has been inspired by the region's maritime legacy. Each room and suite exudes a unique ambiance, providing guests with a cozy and intimate retreat. 

The hotel's restaurant, "Tollboden 1865," offers a seasonal menu focused on quality, echoing the flavours of the coastal region and complementing the overall experience of the hotel.

Centrally located by the harbour, it's an ideal base for experiencing the town's maritime charm and captivating wooden architecture.

Guests are treated to various activities, from leisurely strolls through the quaint streets to cycling around on the hotel's bikes or embarking on boat trips with picnics in the archipelago. Risør's cultural tapestry is woven with galleries, festivals, and concerts throughout the year. Highlights include the renowned Risør Chamber Music Festival, Villvin Arts and Crafts Market, and The Wooden Boat Festival, all contributing to the town's vibrant cultural landscape.

Rooms

The rooms in the historic building where Risskov guests are accomodated were completely renovated in 2023. They are bright and spacious with views of the sea and beautiful Risør harbour.
