Lund was founded around 990 and was probably moved from another location half a mile to the south. It is now the third largest city in Skåne and is located on the Romeleåsen mountain range. When visiting Lund, don't miss the Lund Cathedral, one of the city's most famous buildings. The church is located in the middle of the city and has the Lundagård park, Krafts torg, Kyrkogatan and Stortorget as its closest neighbors. It is also possible to see the church's two towers, popularly known as "Lunna Pågar", from many parts of the city. Lund is a well-known student city and it is estimated that a third of the population are students. Lund is a railway junction and it is easy to travel both north to Sweden or south to Denmark and Copenhagen. If you like art, don't miss a visit to the Lund Art Gallery.
